A Brief History of Windstory
How did it all start?
During the train journey to Krakow, after one of our sailing trips on Zawisza Czarny, inspired by the experiences of the cruise we had just finished, full of stories from the seas and oceans, lashed by the wind and salty Baltic water, Michał and I were thinking about creating a unique project. A project that would combine a passion for sailing with business experience and allow others to feel the magic of the sea.
This is how the Windstory concept was born, which matured in our hearts and minds over the years of sailing.
Today we invite you to join us in writing the history of Windstory and creating unforgettable memories of cruising under our flag. Here you will find a small dose of "about us", and we will tell you more about our passion, inspirations and experiences on board the yacht.
We value quality and don't believe in "something will just work out." We build relationships on mutual trust.
That's why we are a registered tour operator, number 42410, and we already have insurance coverage with TU Signal Iduna, number M531689. We also pay contributions to the Tourist Guarantee Fund.
About us
Marek
I have been involved with sailing since my early years. It was my father who instilled this passion in me and under his watchful eye I gained my first sailing skills on the steel yacht "Ocean" on the Vistula Lagoon. Over time I sailed into wider waters, gathering valuable experience and improving my skills. I conduct independent cruises on both small yachts and larger monohulls. From time to time I also report on board sailing ships, acting as a watch officer. I have the qualifications of a Yacht Skipper, a short-range radio operator license and an STCW certificate, confirming my training in safety at sea. I cannot imagine setting sail without a morning cup of good coffee. In parallel to sailing, for many years I developed my career in corporations, building and leading teams in international companies. Working with people, creating a positive atmosphere based on trust and respect has always been important to me. I am currently focused on developing my boutique company Insurnavi and realizing my dream of Windstory.
Michal
I have been building my sailing experience since I was five. I have the Yacht Sea Skipper qualifications and I lead cruises on monohulls and catamarans. I also sail as an officer on larger yachts and sailing ships. I love night flights and navigation tasks, combining precision with the extraordinary atmosphere of sailing under the stars. And morning coffee in the marina! Apart from sailing, I specialize in employer brand management in global organizations. I work with leaders, supporting them in building personal brands, developing committed teams and improving effective communication. I am a professional photographer, which allows me to organize cruises tailored to the needs of photography enthusiasts, combining sailing with beautiful shots. The cruises I lead are not only an adventure under sail, but also an opportunity to develop, inspire and discover new passions. I invite on board everyone who wants to combine sailing emotions with personal and artistic development! ⛵📸
